my apologies on the lack of updates. Procrastination and business have taken their toll. I have uploaded two new sermons. In particular the ones from 6-13-10. I will try to get the rest up soon after I get them properly edited and formatted so as to be downloadable.

There are a few things I need to do with the site. The site needs to be updated to the latest version. Older files need to be brought up to date. The sermons page needs to be reformatted somehow soon so as to be easier for me to keep the page and the audio files organized.

The sermon for 3/7/10 has been uploaded to the sermons page.

Sorry to let you know that there was a little bit of audio trouble this week and so the sermon for 2/21/10 will not be available. I will be trying something different next week to help minimize something like this from occurring.

The website has been revised again. This version is to make the main page straight to the point to make it easier for visitors to get key information right away and to be able to get more information if they want it by following the links on the left. I may still end up tweaking this a bit so that it is easier on the eyes.

The announcements will be posted here as well as any updates to the site. The intended audience for this WordPress blog is myself and members of the church who may be interested in keeping track of the changes or updates to the site such as the fact that the latest sermon has been updated or whatnot. In short this won’t be quite as interesting or important, so is not as visible to visitors.

The sermons for 2/7/10 and 2/14/10 have been uploaded to the sermons page some of the titles for the sermons are incorrect. I plan on creating a small program that will sort and store the names of the sermons in a database.

Updates will be slower from here on out now that the majority of the site revision is done. I added an image gallery for the admin page as well as an image upload program. I may add more options depending on the need. An image has also been added to the First Anniversary page of pastor Wiers.

The search feature is up and running and replaces the link to OPC. The search feature works and works pretty well. I have no plans to improve it further. All it does is efficiently search the site, lists the results that it finds as well as a link to the source content. The search program is most likely the last of the larger updates. More »

I did very little today. I corrected the margins on the main page as well as the rest of the site.

I did a little more work on the site design today. I changed the banner image and will probably change it again or at least tweak it a little. The layout was updated with several little changes here and there to clean up the look. I am beginning to like how it looks, but I have a few more things in the layout that I want to change yet like.

Here’s a breakdown of the things that need to be done yet to the site:

• Different navigational links.

• Add information to the main page about the current sermon series.
• add a search page.
• fix the main page archives page (minor importance).
• add an image gallery to the admin page.

This post will be updated throughout the day.

The CSS has been updated, there is a new page called catechism quiz, which cycles through the questions and answers of the Westminster larger catechism.  The daily Bible quote pages now correctly display the daily Bible quote.  Pages can better handle javascript now.  The text formatting program has been updated.  More admin pages have been updated to make editing easier.  I decided to remove the maps page.  It was a little too redundant.  Instead I posted a link to the google map for Sovereign Grace.  The links page has been fixed so that adding new links doesn’t break the site.  The admin links page has had the layout updated as well.  Mostly to make the text visible.

I got a little more work done on the layout today, but it will be some time before I am satisfied with it.  At least it is a bit more organized now.  I really want to get a new image to replace the current banner.  That might not happen till next week though.

The front page archives needs to be fixed.  A search feature could be added, but is not all that needed yet.  I’ll probably still install one soon though.  I hope to get some more work on the layout today.  I accidentally deleted all of the archives.  For the most part they have been restored.  The maps page is wrong though and should be updated.  The anti spam plugin for this blog needs to be installed.

Too sleepy.  I’ll see if I can get some more layout work done tomorrow.

Tonight I cleaned up the code in the admin page, fixed the bug where quotes were not being displayed in certain pages, updated the mysql send page, fixed a bug where articles were not able to be updated, added a link for this blog in the admin page, uploaded another sermon, added a link on the left side for the viewing all of the articles (Many more links will be added here very soon), the link for the database was fixed, and one or two other very minor things.

Next up is to fix the font color on the edit pages and work on the layout some more of the main page. I want to add a search feature to the site, an email feature, and a new program that I have been working on: a catechism quiz program. The quote page does not have a daily Bible quote listed on the right side of the page. I hope to do a lot of these things tomorrow with an emphasis on site layout.

I should have been a little more detailed about a few of the updates I did yesterday. The editor program was updated from 0.3 to 1.3. The config page does not have a version number, but was completely rewritten.
